A Review of Trial By Fire by Josephine Angelini

Hi guys! I'm back with a review of Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini.
This book was actually lended to me by my best friend Jordan, however I put off reading it due to college and other things going on.
Anyways, Jordan and I took turns reading the Goddess series by Josephine Angelini a few years back and heavily enjoyed her writing, so I was sure this book was going to reel me in like her other books have.
So overall I give this book a 5/5 :) I loved it.
In the book Lily proctor, who is allergic to everything finds herself in a world much different from her own. Her allergies and constant fever are something in this world that makes her a Witch and gives her the potential to be a very powerful individual and face off against the tyrant Lillian, this worlds version of Lily.
I related to Lily a lot, but I also really enjoyed Lillian. Although everyone in the book despises Lillian for some of the things she does, I actually really enjoy her character and look forward to more character development from her in the next two novels.
I also liked Rowan, a character that exists in this New Salem that doesn't exist in Lily's older one. A lot of his actions and reasons for doing things reminded me of by boyfriend, Danny
Overall I give this book a perfect score. The writing was beautiful, and the theme gave me an old Witchcraft meets science and the Universe type vibes (two of my favorite things) and it was AWSOME. If you haven't read this, well you should.
